Area Planning Districts first started in. 1969, almost four years ago, and District 9 is the last to organize.
I strongly oppose any effort by the Planning Commission to implement programs and think the Staffing of the Commission should be approved by the local governments.__
This organization can be beneficial, especially in our rural area, but along with benefits come responsibility and it is the responsibility of this Board to protect the interest of its citizens which 1 believe is foremost in the mind$ of each of us. .
