Included in the communitv resources was a visit by a local fire company giving the children an opportunity to inspect the fire engine. A State Policeman, R.A. Baines, visited the children who were allowed to see operation of the mobile unit provided him. A Fire Warden explained his duties and equipment used in fire control.
“Snack time” each day provided first-hand experience in the cafeteria and a break from the program activities, and parents visiting day allowed parents to see children at work and play. On that day Superintendent O.A. Norton and some School Board members joined the approximately 65 patrons.
