INJURIES were slight in a series of traffic crashes in the past few days. Three occurred Monday.
On Route 231 a mile and a half south of Sperryville, Hugh Deal of Sperryville operating a 1968 Ford crashed. He lost control of his vehicle, went over an embankment and hit a guy wire on a utility pole and a fence.
Deal sustained a foot injury and extensive damage to his car, according to Trooper R. A. Baines.
The same day two vehicles were involved in a collision on Route 522 north of Flint Hill.
