P.D. Wharton

A funeral service for Frank Davis Wharton, 38, of Culpeper was held Monday at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Wharton, a carpenter, died September 28, 1973, following a sudden illness. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late William Atha and Annie Lee Wharton.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mils Rebecca Jenkins; two daughters, Margaret Ann Wharton and Anna Mae Wharton, both of Culpeper; a son, Franklin Wharton of Culpeper; and two sisters, Mrs. Brown Compton of Castleton and Mrs. Josie Deco Walker of Fredericksburg. □
