The following letter has been sent to the State Corporation Commission in Richmond, on the subject of wider areas for 937 and 675 telephones:
“There would seem to be little earthly reason for a small county like Rappahannock to be divided by telephone dialing areas. But such is the case, where a toll charge is made for calls to or from Washington, 675 and the county seat, and Amissville area in the east, 937 exchange.
“In the interest of furthering county solidarity and citizen participation in county affairs, it is respectfully requested that the 675 and 937 telephones be included in the same dialing area.
