FEEDER CALF CONSIGNMENTS are due now for the second series of State graded feeder sales. The dates of area sales coming up are: Winchester, Friday, October 26; Culpeper and Marshall Thursday, November 1.
Last week feeder prices strengthened as the series of area sales progressed. The 1,374 calves sold at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises grossed $395,960.50. Steers averaged $59.77 and heifers $49.07 per hundred weight.
