“SOME CALL IT AUTUMN, others call it God.” Well it is autumn on the calendar, but it still looks like summer on the mountains. And another thing— 1 haven’t sung my usual September Song; but the days are shorter than they were. Let’s paraphrase Psalm 8:4: “Who am I that YOU would notice me?” That seems a good question to ponder. What have I done to deserve so many blessings? Thank you, friends, for being so kind. Taken out of context we find this statement in 2 Corinthians 12:10: “When I am weak I am strong.” That sounds somewhat paradoxical, but there is a certain amount of strength in weakness; conversely there is weakness in strength. I once knew a lady of which it was said: “Her strength is in her weakness.” Meaning that because she was frail others shared their strength with her. -
I have been accused of having a weakness, I’ve never acknowledged that said weakness existed, if it did I know of no other weakness camparable to it.
When I was just a little boy I liked a little girl who lived on a farm close to ours. Well, we were not sweethearts but I liked her in my boyish way. She was the first girl I liked. Wouldn’t it seem a strange coincidence if the last was the first girl I liked. Wouldn’t it seem a strange coincidence if the last “little” girl I liked would have the same surname?D * 3
