HUNTERS in the Commonwealth accounted for a record total of 60,565 deer during the just concluded season, exceeding official estimates, said Richard Cross, Chief of the Game Commission’s Game Division. Statewide, 42,173 bucks were bagged; 30 percent of the total number taken (18,392) were doe deer.
