THE GENERAL Assembly now has a total of 893 bills and 107 resolutions which have been introduced in both the House and the Senate.
As with most sessions, bills cover a wide variety of subjects. A package of 19 bills is directed towards revamping programs in the State Welfare Department, which are intended to make welfare administration more effective and less costly and still provide assistance to those who need it and cannot help themselves.
