Weston Deal

Roy Weston Deal ofCastleton died May 7, 1974. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late John Daniel Deal and Virgie Settle Deal. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. A funeral service conducted by the Rev. John McKay was held Saturday at Geest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Mabel Burke; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Jewell of Culpeper and Mrs. Louise Pullen of Manassas; four grandchildren. Other survivors are three brothers, John William Deal, Clarence Deal and Clifton Deal, all of Boston, Va; and two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Menefee of Culpeper and Mrs. Melva Menefee of Boston. □

Claude Gaines

A funeral service for Claude Biedler Gaines of Boston was held Tuesday in the Geest Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Harold Eaton. Burial was in the Novum Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Gaines, 75,diedMay 10, 1974 at the University of Virginia Hospital.

He was a retired farmer, and the son of the late Thomas Robert Gaines and the late Elizabeth House Gaines of Culpeper County.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Hitt Gaines; five sons, Arthur B. of Culpeper, Eugene of Fairfax, Claude M. of Madison, Thomas R. of Silver Spring,
