Our baseball team chalked up more victories for this week. Last Friday we defeated Page County 3-1. We split a double - header with RMA Saturday by winning the first game 7-2. RMA won the second by a score of 7-4. We won over Montevideo in a home game Monday 2-0. This brought the team one game away from the playoffs. Even though all hope was put on the Elkton game Tuesday we lost 3-2 after going into the eighth inning, thus ending the baseball season for RCHS.
Coach Douglas and the team deserve a lot of credit for putting forth the effort to have made it this far. It is quite an accomplishment compared to the past years. Overall, the team has improved and we had a good season. We finished standing 5-5 in the District.
Our Boy’s Track Team placed fifth in the Regional Meet at Clover Hill Friday. Milton Fletcher placed fourth in the Triple Jump. Raymond Groves was third in the 100 and second in the 440. Andy Nichols placed fifth in 440; John Summers was fourth in the 880; Ronnie Nicholson placed third in the mile; and Bill Taylor finished fourth in the two mile. Our mile relay team con
