Bids to corn producers in southeast Virginia ranged $2.40 to $2.74; Richmond $2.57 to $2.62 and Wilson N. C. $2,60. South Carolina prices were unchanged to 10 cents lower with the Piedmont area at $2.80 and the Central area at $2.90. Alabama trucklot offerings were $2.71 to $2.74 and Georgia multicarlot offerings were $2.75 to $2.77; Louisville Ky. was 18 to 24 cents lower at $2.40 to $2.58. Terminal offerings at Memphis ranged $2.68 to $2.74 and Norfolk $2.66 to $2.74.
Bids to soybean growers in southeastern Virginia closed at $5.15 to $5.30 and Richmond $5.15 to $5.30. South Carolina prices ranged from $5.35 in the Coastal areas to $5.40 in the Central areas.
Louisville prices were 11-1/2 to 13 cents lower at $5.17-1/2 to $5.32. Terminal prices at Memphis were $5.36-1/2 to $5.39-1/2; Norfolk $5.52 and Raleigh $5.38-1/2. New Crop soybean bids for October-November shipment basis at Memphis were $5.08 to $5.17. Gulf export bids for barge delivery closed the period at $5.54.
