The northern valley’s bestknown old-time fiddler, Herb Smoke, and Madeline MacNeil, a professional folk singer and recording artist from Front Royal, have accepted invitations to perform. Smoke, a resident of Frederick County, will be accompanied by his local group known as the North Mountain Ramblers., He is among the American folk musicians recorded by the Archive of Folk Music of the Library of Congress. Amateur musicians, singers, and dancers will also perform.
ARTS AND CRAFTS demonstrations and exhibits scheduled include a wide variety of traditional and contemporary products and artifacts.
