hannock Recreation Association and to all other Rappahannock county residents on a special membership basis, under arrangements negotiated by Julian Brown and Roger Flinchum. Membership applications will be available at the open house.
This activity is in response to the original Youth Center survey in which 97 percent of the students indicated that the form of recreation they most wanted was either swimming or tennis.
Plans for the open house were discussed at a meeting of student and adult officers concerned with the Youth Center on June 3. at the Elementary School. Tom Metzinger, student president, reported on the results of the membership drive to date, and Granville Eastham, adult president, reported that a decision on the group’s application for a state grant of $18,000 is expected before the end of this month.□
