Involved were James S. Dawson III of Huntly, driving a 72 Ford pickup, and Charles H. Jenkins, also of Huntly, operating a 63 Ford pickup. Dawson applied his brakes and skidded into the Jenkins truck. Damage wassetat$700 to Dawson and $300 to Jenkins, said Trooper Buntin.
Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in Sperryville a car crashed into a bridge on Route 1002. John Carter of Sperryville, driving a 67 Ford owned by Donna Brent of Washington, Va. braked the vehicle on the wet road and skidded into the bridge. Carter escaped injury but was cited for failure to drive to the right of the road by Trooper Buntin.
MONDAY during the snowstorm Barry Adkins of Washington driving a 68 Ford Falcon lost control of the vehicle on Route 231, struck a highway sign and ran into a fencfi on the C.E. Johnson farm. Damages were estimated at $200 and no charge was made by Trooper J. A. Wa>son.
The afternoon of the same day two vehicles collided on Route 211 east of Washington. Involved were Kenneth Wampler driving a 74 Ford pickup and Gary Coppage of Timberville operating a 69 Volkswagen.
