a native of Rappahannock, the son of the late Benjamin F. Hawkins and the late Berta Burke. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Culpeper.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sallie Norman Hawkins; a daughter, Miss Thelma Ruth Hawkins of Culpeper; four sons, William Franklin Hawkins of Luray, the Rev. Paul Daniel Hawkins of Atlanta, Ga., the Rev. Edward L. Hawkins of Culpeper and Marvin L. Hawkins of Harrison, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Corbin of Alexandria and Mrs. Mary Chadwell of Front Royal; two brothers, Milton Hawkins of Laurel, Md. and Otis Hawkins of Woodville.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 17 at Geest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Thompson officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. □
