Witnesses hear? at this hearing are among the foremost experts in the associated fields concerned with increasing energy supplies and in the development of alternate energy sources, he said.
The Senator noted that “Virginia has an abundance of coal and I would like to find to what expanded uses we can direct our supply. I also am extremely curious about some of the new processes to liquify andgassify coal.” The purpose of the hearing was to determine what new laws will be necessary to help the Commonwealth reach a level of energy independence as soon as possible.
