Coppage attempted to pass him. Coppage lost control of the vehicle, spun around in the road and struck the left front of the truck. Damage was estimated at $100 to the truck and $300 to the car. Coppage was cited for reckless driving.
SATURDAY night six miles south of Sperryville on Route 231 Gail Lynn Timmons of Sperryville escaped injury when she turned over in a 68 Plymouth she was driving. According to Trooper R. A. Baines, she lost control of the car on the icy highway and flipped over.
A mile west of Sperryville on Route 211 Sunday two vehicles collided with minor property damage resulting. Richard McKenna of Harwood, Md. driving a 74 Chevrolet was attempting to pass two vehicles, one a 68 Pontiac operated by Ernest Seale of Syria.
At this time, Seale started to pass the vehicle in front of him and they collided. McKenna was cited by Trooper Baines for failing to give signal and Seale was charged with defective lights.□
