ALTHOUGH standard lap belts and shoulder harnesses are required by Virginia law to pass Motor Vehicle Inspection, ignition interlock systems, warning lights and warning buzzers, formerly required by the U. S. Department of Transportation, are not and have never been required to pass inspection, says Colonel H. W. Burgess, Superintendent of State Police.
