Mrs. Gayle Calvert, Jimmy, Steve, and Kimberly and Miss Joane Mathena left Friday for Pocahontas where Mrs. Calvert attended her class reunion; and where they are visiting Miss Mathena’s mother, Mrs. Elsa Mathena, and Mrs. Calvert’s uncle, Leonard Patrick.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bissett Sr. entertained a group of Chester Gap friends Friday night and Saturday at the Bissett home in Edgewater, Md., where the gentlemen went fishing in the Bay. Guests were Sherman Williams, Albert Cameron, Leo and Robert Lee Williams and Charles Frazier.
Cathy Pullen of Front Royal spent Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hickerson and children, Dannette and Gregory.
Miss Denise Longmire returned Friday from Baltimore where she was visiting her grandmother, Mrs. Edith Brooks. Mrs. Brooks and William Goreman accompanied Denise home and are spending the week with the Carl Longmires. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Timmons of Waterlick were Monday evening visitors.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Morris, Mr. and Mrs. El wood Morris, and families, all of Stanardsville, called on Roger Lee Morris Saturday in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ermand Morris.
Mrs. Anne Ritter of Front Royal visited Mrs. Nellie Gilkey Friday.
