ADDING sheep to cattle farms can be profitable, an animal scientist at Virginia Tech notes. “If the goal of one ewe per cow on every farm in Virginia could be reached, the gross agricultural income of the state would be increased by about $25 million," George A. Allen Jr., Tech professor of animal science and Extension sheep specialist, said.
