A carnival queen will be crowned Friday evening and she will act as honorary fire chief for the department for the coming year. Several young ladies are competing for the crown.
The midway will provide interesting games and elaborate concessions. Good food will be available each night at the food stand under the direction of Carson Johnson and carnival chairman Donald Gore extended a cordial welcome to everyone. There will be activities to interest all.
Floats, majorettes, music, beauty queens, marching units along with fire and rescue equipment will be featured in the parade which begins at 7 p.m. □
COOKOUT
There will be a cookout Saturday, July 26 at 7 p.m. at the home of Miss Catherine Carter. Proceeds to benefit the King and Queen Rally. □
