RAPPAHANNOCK’S planners have forwarded to the Supervisors an erosion and sedimentation control ordinance which will require anyone who undertakes a “land disturbing activity” to file a plan with the county engineer indicating what steps will be taken to prevent erosion and sedimentation run-off during and after construction. The plan will be reviewed by the county engineer who will follow up with an inspection tour of the construction site, to see if the plan is.followed. All counties and municipalities in Virginia are required to adopt such an oidinance.
