RLEP meeting
THE FIFTH ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP meeting of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection, Inc. is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, September 5, at the Rappahannock County Courthouse. Featured speaker will be Buck Bradley, Eastern Representative of the Dr. E. H. McCleery Lobo Wolf Foundation, Inc. of Gardiner, Wash. Bradley’s talk on wildlife will be illustrated by a live wolf, a golden eagle and a great horned owl, the largest know of its species. Falconry and rehabilitation of injured and ill wildlife are Bradley’s personal interests while, professionally, he supports the breeding and introduction of endangered wolves to appropriate habitat..
Following Bradley’s presentation, the business meeting will be devoted to election of officers, a review of the past year and open discussion to include the new initiatives and latest progress in RLEP’s litigation against Vepco’s transmission lines planned for Northern Virginia.
