Manassas was the best appearing and equipped rescue unit with Warrenton placing second. Amissville Ruritan Club had the best civic float and Chester Gap was the best comic float. Falls Church Ladies Auxiliary was judged best and Colonial Beach was second. Best appearing honorary fire chief was Miss Luray and Earheart Excavating had the best antique car.
IN SOLO majorette competition Pam Mylow was first with Dawn Blevins second. Senior majorette groups were rated Prince William Toppettes first and Chantilly Fireflies, second. These same two groups held the same ratings in the junior competition. Best appearing tiny tots majorette groups were Red Coats, first and Madison Mountainettes, second.
