Junior Corbin of Rixeyville lost control of his 1967 Chevrolet on August 9 at Laurel. Mills and totaled the vehicle. Corbin sustained abrasions and cuts of both legs. Johnny Corbin, a passenger, received a severe head injury and was taken to Fairfax Hospital.
August 6, east of Sperryville on Route 211, Irene Foster of Flint Hill driving a 66 Dodge lost control of the car in the rain and flipped it upside down. Damage to the vehicle was minor as were her injuries.
