Giles
Clarence Early Giles, Sr., 64, died at his residence in Washington, Va., Friday, August 15, 1975. He was a native of Nelson County, the son of the late Oscar Duvall and Mary Hudson Giles. He was the husband of the late Rena Burke Giles.
Mr. Giles was a merchant, a member of the Washington United Methodist Church and the Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78 AF and AM.
Surviving are a son Clarence E. Giles, Jr., of Washington; three brothers, Jesse J. Giles and William W. Giles, both of Roseland, and Oscar D. Giles of Charleston, W. Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary F. Saunders of Rockfish, Mrs. Hattie G. Toms of Crozet, and Mrs. Idelle G. Loving of Roseland; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at Washington United Methodist Church with burial in the Washington Masonic Cemetery. The Rev. Malcolm Maples and the Rev. Jennings Hobson, III conducted the service.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.□
