NEW officers for the Rappahannock Unit American Cancer Society were installed at the meeting Tuesday night of the local unit. The gavel was passed to Mrs. Juanda Rodgers from outgoing president Mrs. Roberta Anderson.

Retaining the positions of first and second vice president are Andrew Kozik and Mrs. Elizabeth Scherschel, respectively. Named as secretary is Mrs. Dollie Biddle and Mrs. James F. Massie was re-elected treasurer. She also heads the budget and finance committee.

Mrs. L.J. Turner and Miss Ann Spieker will be the public education committee; Mrs. Frances Thornton continues as service chairman and Mrs. Frank Spalding as memorial gifts chairman. Mrs. Dorothy Butler acted as nominating chairman.

Announcement was made concerning the District meeting and the annual division meeting. The District meeting is September 25 in Front Royal at 6:45 p.m. The speaker will be Dr. Toxapeus, radiologist. Going as delegates will be Mrs. Rodgers. Mrs. Ethel Bailey and Ian Pryde.

The annual Division meeting will be in Richmond on October 30-31. Delegates to this meet will be Mrs. Rodgers, Mrs. Mary R. Mill
