Dy car owners in place of the regular blue - on - white plates. Purchasers will pay a one-time $5 fee plus normal annual registration fees, and will retain their assigned decal renewal months.
THE standard Bicentennial issue will be in numbered sequence only, beginning with 100,001. Present alpha-numeric combinations on the regular blue-on-white plates will not be reproduced. However, license numbers in the reserved category, requiring an additional $10 annual fee, may be obtained in the Bicentennial format. To conserve metal, commemorative plate buyers will be asked to turn in their old plates for recycling. □
