What's in a name?
Owing to a coincidence of place names, a news item in the August 28 issue of the Rappahannock News has caused some confusion in the minds of friends and acquaintances of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Muth, who want to clear up the matter.
In the news item concerning James Garwood’s recent award of a U.S. patent on one of his hydraulic systems inventions, his ownership of his house “Stonehaven” (in the town of Washington, Va.) was mentioned. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Muth, who reside near Woodville at the foot of Fielding Mountain, is also named “Stonehaven.”
“ Yes, both Rappahannock houses are named ‘Stonehaven,’ and both ‘Stonehavens’ will continue to be enjoyed by their respective owners under that name. All’s well and everyone is in his right house,” said Mrs. Muth. □
