THE TOUR proceeded to Orange and Orange County where local author and representative from the Virginia Landmarks Commission, William Thomas, gave the 30 people on the bus a lecture on the formation and history of the County and town. The bus made a short stop at the pre-Revolutionary estate of Bloomsberry. The house, built by James Taylor sometime in the early 1700s, is beautifully kept and furnished, but unoccupied. ,

State Police were alerted Tuesday to search for a 4-year-old child, Robert Lewis Wynkott, whose mother feared he had wandered into the woods near their home south of Woodville. The alert was cancelled when he was found to be riding with his father who had gone to northern Virginia in their pickup.
