The Fauquier tour, led by Warrenton Mayor Willard Lineweaver, included a tour of government buildings in Warrenton and a trip down the Fauquier Springs Road. Lineweaver commented that according to a Federal study, Fauquier County was named one of the five nicest places to live in the nation. He said the study took into account employment opportunities, “quality of life,” and proximity to Washington, D. C.
