Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne have returned to their home Locust Shade after spending a week in the Lexington and Berea areas of Kentucky.
Mrs. Betty Hitt and Mrs. Ronnie Webb with Mrs. Ruby Cannon of Castleton spent Sunday in Charlottesville where they attended a hair stylists conference.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jones, Courtney and Camilla have returned home from a week’s vacation which they spent with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Chester Harrison in Plymouth, Wise, and with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Edgington in Wisconsin Dells. Mr. Jones spent several days this week on a fishing trip to Surf City.
Guests of Mrs. Sarah Latham and Mrs. David Streagle for the house tour Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kephart of Herndon. Mr. and Mrs. David Hoadley and Sarah Kearns of Falls Church and Mrs. Arthur Hoadley of Arlington also visited them Saturday. Miss Susan Latham of MWC, Fredericksburg spent Sunday and was an over night visitor of her mother returning Monday to school.
Mrs. Ronnie Poe spent Tuesday visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kilby in Culpeper.
Paul Townsend of Columbus, Ohio is the guest for a while of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pierson. Tuesday they spent the day in Williamsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Bowey spent Monday in Emporia with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Walton. Sunday the Boweys joined by Mr. and Mrs. Charlie six of Manassas celebrated the thirty-eighth wedding anniversary of both couples with dinner at the Virginia Gentleman in Front Royal. □
