Mrs. Frances Thornton was a weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson and daughter, Ann Rodes Thompson in Fork Union. She was joined by her grandson, Philip Thornton of Richmond.

Mrs. Bob Lewis, ofHuntly, Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Jr. and Mrs. Virginia Lewis met Bob Lewis at Dulles Airport last Tuesday when he returned after visiting in Sacramento, Calif.

Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman and Mrs. D. V. Chapman, Sr. of Richmond visited friends here last Wednesday.

Dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Ethel Tyner and Miss Nellie Atkins were Elder and Mrs. Elmer Skeen of Palmyra, Mr. and Mrs. John Powers of Amissville, Mrs. Dick McClanahan, Mrs. Lois Frazier, Miss Patty Atkins and Miss Frances Leake, all of Warrenton and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Frazier of Remington.

Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Clarke and Kristi and Mrs. Delia Leake were visitors Sunday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jenkins in Etlan.

Suzanne Updike, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Updike of Culpeper, celebrated her first birthday Friday night. Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer and Mrs. John Updike of Washington, Freddie Schaefer and Mrs. B. M. Varner were guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Newton of Denver, Col. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne. They were joined for Sunday breakfast by Mrs. G. L. Warren and children, Katherine and Chip of Warrenton.
