Pullen
Silas Jackson Pullen of Washington died at his residence, October 17, 1975. He was the son of the late Romie B. Pullen and Minnie Atkins Pullen. He was a farmer, and a member of the Brethren Church of Washington. Surviving him are his stepmother, Mrs. Mae Keyser Pullen of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ralls, Mrs. Savilla Huff and Mrs. Alice Beahm, all of Washington; and five brothers, Clyde, Charlie, Russell and Elmer Pullen, all of Washington and Romie K. Pullen of Glen Burnie, Md. *
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Gid Brown Bible Church with the Rev. John Burke and Elder Haywood Coppage officiating. Burial was in the Pullen section of the Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Yowell
Mrs. Ethel Nethers Yowell of Etlan died October 20, 1975 at her home. She was 74, a native of Madison County and a daughter of the late William Clifton Nethers and Inez Brown Nethers. She was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dutton E. Yowell; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Y. Coppedge and Mrs. Ruth Y. Jenkins all of Etlan; and two grandchildren.
