DEPUTY GRADUATES
R. D. Hawkins, a deputy with the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Department, has completed basic school at the Centrai Shenandoah Criminal Justice Training School at Weyers Cave. This course is for full-time law enforcement officers in Virginia. Graduation was Friday, October 17. □
Pony Club meet
A meeting of the 4-H Horse and Pony Club will be held Monday, October 27, at Old Mill Stables. This will be an active meeting so everyone should bring a horse. The group will be going out cross country on a simulated fox hunt to learn the do’s and dont’s of foxhunting. The meeting will begin at 5:30.
At the last meeting of the club, Nina Metzinger was appointed new secretary-reporter and the leader, Moody Aylor, gave a lecture and demonstration of proper hunt field manners. □
