Mr. and Mrs. James Sykes and Brad were weekend guests of his mother, Mrs. Pearl Sykes in Fairlea, W. Va. Along with Mrs. Opie crawford, Curtis and Ray, they visited Mrs. Julia Crawford and other relatives in Greenville, Lewisburg and Lynside, W. Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clark and Misty Hitt spent last week in South Hill. They attended the Virginia State Foxhunters Association field trials at Elm Hill Wildlife Reservation.
BASEBALL MEETING
The Washington Monarchs Baseball Club will meet at Pine Knot Inn, November 2 at 3:30 p.m. This is an important meeting and all members are urged to be present, according to the manager, Robbie Clanagan. □
CHURCH MEETING
An important business meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., October 27, at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church on Route 522 south of Woodville. The congregation will be asked to adopt a new constitution and by-laws, and to approve the recommendations of the Pulpit Committee. All members of the congregation are urged to be present. □
