During his military career, General Noce received numerous medals and awards including the Distinguished Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters. He also received the U. S. Legion of Merit, the French Legion of Honor and the Croix de Guerre. In addition to these, Noce was awarded the Belgian Order of the Crown, the British Order of Bath, the Brazilian, Order of Military Merit, the Polish Gold Cross of Merit, and the Vatican’s Maltese Cross, Knights of Malta and the Lateran Cross.

Noce was born in Denver Colorado in 1895. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1917.

General Noce was a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and won the Award of Merit of the Society of American Military Engineers.
