Mrs. Ruth Clark, president of the Washington Ladies Auxiliary, presented the fire company president, Rev. Jennings Hobson HI, a check for $2,500 on behalf of the auxiliary members. The Washington Fire Company is presently constructing a fire house and hall, so file check was especially meaningful. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Carver also gave the fire company a $50 contribution.
