PRICES for grain and cattle ranged moderately higher on southeastern markets during the week ending February 13, USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service reports.
Feeder cattle and calves moved $1 to $4 higher. Corn ranged mostly 5 to 6 cents higher, with a cash spread of $2.58 to $2.88. Soybeans were mostly 5 to 7 cents higher, with a cash spread of $4.52 to $4.91.
Meanwhile, butcher hog prices declined 25 cents while peanut and Florida honey prices remained unchanged. Trading and prices were mixed for southeastern fruits and vegetables.
