REPRESENTATIVES of Panorama Reality attended the February 18 night meeting of the Rappahannock Planning Commission at the court house in little Washington, in an attempt to gain some clarification of zoning procedure matters. Upon the request of James Leake and John Barbour, the Supervisors had on February 2 visited an 8.61 acre tract in the lower end of the county, at the intersection of Routes 101 and 601. Barbour and Lincoln, acting as agents. for owner David Flach, wanted soil samples taken to determine the suitability of the land for a septic field. Flack had found a buyer for the property but the sale was contingent upon the availability of a sewer system.

County Zoning maps show the property lying in a flood plain, and zoning regulations prohibit construction of buildings or sewage disposal systems within 50 feet of flood plains as shown on a zoning map. The Supervisors agreed to visit the site in an attempt to determine the accuracy of the map.
