Third race was the Mount Salem, two miles over timber for ladies, which also was divided. In the first section Lynda Moore on Galo, a first-time starter last week, was in the lead over most of the 11 fences, with Jo Pat Murphy’s Muzzle Puzzle close behind. As they approached the finish, Galo drifted to the left, causing Muzzle Puzzle to duck outside the flags, brushing off rider Jennifer Youngman.
