RLEP meeting

The first quarterly meeting ot the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection will feature Mason Hutcheson, Culpeper Extension Agent, discussing the role played by plants in providing both beauty and food for wildlife around the home and on the farm. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, March 12, in the Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Washington, Va.

Hutcheson will discuss planting and priming techniques, illustrating his remarks with color slides taken in the local area. Hutcheson has been Extension Agent in Culpeper for more than 18 years, and has organized extension horticultural programs each - Spring and Fall for the past 14 years. □

Scout services

All Rappahannock Girl Scout Troops from Brownies through Senior Girl Scouts will participate in joint worship services and celebration of the Girl Scout birthday Sunday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. The girls will conduct the services except for the sermon. Parents and the public are invited to join with the Girl Scouts in this celebration. □
