Dean's list
Among those on the Dean’s list at Madison college, Harrisonburg, for the fall semester of the 19761977 academic year are Susan L. Baldwin and Barbara R. Timmerman of Amissville and Mary Moore Kilby of Sperryville. To qualify for the honor of being placed on the Dean’s list, a student must have a grade-point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and carry a course load of at least 14 hours. □
Snake in the snow
Misty Hitt of Woodville and a group of friends were sleigh riding last weekend when they discovered a snake laying in the snow nearby. They excitedly summoned Mr. Corker, father of one of the youngsters, who could hardly believe the three and a half foot snake, was real.
Conjecture is that the reptile crawled out of a groundhog hole and froze to death. Tracks in the snow toward a hole nearby substantiated the theory.□
Concert group
The annual membership meeting of the Culpeper Community Concert Association will be held on January 18 at 8 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Culpeper.
The agenda will include the ele
ection of a director from each of the five counties included in the association and a discussion of the forthcoming membership subscription drive.
Counties included are Culpeper, Rappahannock, Fauquier, Orange and Madison. □
