Miss Cathy Winkler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Winkler, left Saturday with other students of Culpeper High School for an eight day tour of Europe.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan entertained Sunday afternoon in honor of the 83rd birthday of Mrs. Duncan’s mother, Mrs. Jessie Hawkins. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. William G. Hoppe, Gwen and Louise of Alexandria, Donald and Michael Padgett of Williamsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hawkins and Wanda of Culpeper, Mrs. Elma Morrison of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill, Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Butler, Paula Natalie and Paul, Mr. and Mrs George Johnston,Mr. and Mrs. Gordan Thornhill and Danny Sims. Eilliam Hawkins of Alexandria was a Saturday caller of the Hawkins-Duncan family.

Russell Dean is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Miss Geraldine Dean of Charlottesville was a weekend guest of her mother and visited her father in the hospital.
