CALL FOR A MASS MEETING OF THE

REPUBLICAN PARTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK

We, Charles W. Compton and Frances J.W. Carney, Co-Chairmen of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County, do hereby issue a call for a mass meeting of all members of the Republican Party of Rappahannock to be held at the Court Room of the Court House in Washington, Virginia, on Thursday, April 21, 1977 at 8:00 P.M. Local time. The purposes of the meeting are:

1. Electing two (2) Delegates and two (2) Alternates to the Twenty-fifth Legislative District Convention of the Republican Party of Virginia, to be held at 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 1977 in the Community Room of the Southgate Branch of the Fidelity-American Bank, Culpeper, Virginia, for the purpose of (a) nominating a candidate for the office of Delegate to the Virginia House of Delegates, and (b) to act on such other business as may properly come before the Convention. 2. Electing two (2) Delegates and two (2) Alternates to the State Convention of the Republican Party of Virginia to be held at the Roanoke Civic Center, Roanoke, Virginia, starting at 2:00 P.M., Local Time, Friday, June 3, 1977, for the purpose of (a) nominating a Republican Candidate for each of the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General of the State of Virginia, and (b) for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Convention. There will be no registration fee charged at the mass meeting of the Republican Party of Rappahannock County. All legal and qualified voters of Rappahannock County regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, or sex, under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who express in open meeting, if requested, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in this mass meeting.
