E.E. Baker

A funeral for Ellis Edward Baker of Washington was held Monday, April 4 at the Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, John Burke. Burial was in the Sperryville cemetery.

Mr. Baker, 72, died April 2, 1977 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. A retired Arlington County employee, he was a native of Sperryville and the son of the late William Ambrose and Lille May Clatterbuck Baker.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, the former Edith Odessa Deavers; two sons, Lyle Edward Baker of Sterling Park and Lynwood Russell Baker of Amissville; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cushman of Rosemond, Cal., Mrs. Emma Pugh of Orange, Mrs. Frances Sanborn of Yantic, Conn, and Mrs. Madeleine Selvage of Manassas Park; 22 grandchildren and six
