Yesterday marked the opening of the Flint Hill Carnival which will continue through Saturday night at the grounds near the fire hall.
The Grand parade begins tonight, Thursday, August 2, at 6:30 p.m. Featured will be the newly crowned Miss Virginia, Kylene Barker of Galax. With her will be appearing the more than 125 units which entered the parade.
A 1978 Chevrolet Nova, a registered Black Angus, two season tickets to the 1978 Redskins games, a new sofa and chair and other awards will be given away Saturday evening.
Box Suppers will be available tonight at S p.m.
