Benefit Polo
Dave Fannon announced this week that the Rappahannock polo team will play opponents from Potomac, Maryland, in an eight-goal tournament game to benefit the county Historical Society. The competition is scheduled for Sunday, August 13, at Fannon Field in Castleton beginning at 4 p.m.
Admission is SI and a barbequed chicken dinner with cole slaw, baked beans, rolls and dessert will be served for S3. Drinks will also be available. Tickets can be purchased at the polo grounds on Sunday, from Diane Bruce at the clerk’s office adjacent to the court house or from Mary Francis Fannon, Mary Quaintance, Sally Sharp, Roberta Anderson and Juanda Rodgers.
