Kenny and Florence O'Donnell of Leon, in Madison County, lost everything but the clothes on their backs in a fire that swept through their trailer on Sunday, July 23. Although Mr. and Mrs. O’Donnell and their nine year old son and 14-year-old daughter weren’t injured in the blaze, Mrs. O'Donnell's aunt Ora Fincham, who was 80 years old and bedridden, died in the tire.

Volunteers are needed to help the O'Donnells put their lives back together again. Donations of clothing, household furnishings, food >r money can be brought or mailed to the Leon Post Office or sent in care of the Madison County Sheriffs Department. Dove Season Set

During the meeting of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries held in Richmond July 21, decisions were finalized in regard to the Dove Season, a special Falconry Season was established and the dates for hunting rails and woodcock were set

Sportsmen will have a split Dove Season again this year. The season will open at noon each day beginning September 9, 1978 and will close on November 9, 1978. Bag limit for doves will be 12 birds per day and a maximum of 24 doves in possession after the opening date. Dove season will reopen December 23. 1978, and will continue until January 4, 1979.

The Special Falconry Season for Migratory Game Birds (dove) will open September 9, 1978, and close December 12, 1978. Reopening December 23, 1978, the special season will close January 3, 1979.

Rail hunting season commences September 9, 1978, and closes November 17, 1978. The season for hunting woodcock opens October 23. 1978, and closes December 26, 1978.
